Welcome to Family Hair Salon, a locally owned La Mesa salon proudly serving East County and surrounding area families since 1986. In 2026, we are celebrating 40 years of haircuts, first haircut memories, family traditions, and community connection. What began as Kids Hair Salon has grown into a 2,200 sq. ft. family-friendly salon for babies, kids, teens, adults, and seniors. Our space includes fun and welcoming areas for kids, adult haircuts, barber services, braids, tinsel, colored extensions, special occasion styles, sensory-friendly haircuts, and facial skin therapy services.We are known for making haircuts feel easier, happier, and more comfortable. From first haircuts to our Be Brave Haircuts for guests who need extra patience or accommodations, our goal is to make every person feel safe, included, and celebrated. Community is at the heart of our salon. We love supporting local families, schools, events, and meaningful causes. During our 40th anniversary celebration, our clients helped us donate 85 ponytails to Wigs for Kids, a beautiful reminder of what this community can do together.
